Insight Publications Creative Writing Competition for 2019.
This competition aims to ignite a passion for creative writing in secondary-school students and to inspire the voices of the future.
Themes and word count
Each story must be written to the theme: The price you pay. The word count should be as outlined below.
- Year 7: 400 – 800 words
- Year 8: 400 – 800 words
- Year 9: 600 – 1100 words
- Year 10: 600 – 1100 words
- Year 11: 900 – 1400 words
- Year 12: 900 – 1400 words
Stories must also be accompanied by a 100-word statement that addresses at least one of the following:
- your motivation for writing
- your creative inspiration
- your aspirations for future writing.
