Insight Publications is proud to announce its Creative Writing Competition for 2018. This competition aims to ignite a passion for creative writing in secondary-school students and to inspire the voices of the future.

Themes and word count
Stories must explore the theme that corresponds with your year level, as outlined below.
- Year 7: Truth and Lies (400 – 800 words)
- Year 8: Fantasy and Reality (400 – 800 words)
- Year 9: Love and Forgiveness (600 – 1100 words)
- Year 10: Innocence and Guilt (600 – 1100 words)
- Year 11: Fear and Courage (900 – 1400 words)
- Year 12: Power and Wisdom (900 – 1400 words)
Stories must also be accompanied by a 100-word statement that addresses at least one of the following:
- your motivation for writing
- your creative inspiration
- your aspirations for future writing.
